CALONTIR returns
Vintila Viteazul. Device. Vert, a female angel vested of armor and maintaining against her body a sword palewise inverted, on a chief argent three crosses of Calvary vert.
This device is returned as the sword – which overlies the angel and is functionally a tertiary charge – does not have contrast with the primary charge on which it lies, which is disallowed per SENA A3B4a. Although depictions of the archangel Michael found in period heraldry are consistently depicted holding a sword, the sword is always a distinct maintained charge that aids in identifiability rather than held in front of the body.
CALONTIR pends
Antonia Stefani. Badge. Or, a house gules roofed sable between two pine trees proper.
This badge is pended to redraw the primary house larger and the secondary trees smaller to clearly distinguish the charge groups. As currently drawn the similar size of each charge blurs the distinction between charge groups which is disallowed by SENA A3D1.
