Loch Bheathrach Name and Device

From the Gold Falcon Herald, via Facebook:

Congratulations to Loch Bheathrach (the canton formerly known as Loch Smythe) – the branch name and device has now been registered!

“Loch Bheathrach, Canton of. Branch name and device. Argent, a sea-serpent ondoyant, in chief two laurel wreaths vert, a base wavy barry wavy vert and argent. In commentary, Brían dorcha ua Conaill documented the attested Loch Bethrach (Annals of Innisfallen) and Loch Beathrach (Annals of Ulster). The submitted (and lenited) spelling Bheathrach is justified by the example Sròn a’ Bheathrach documented in the Letter of Intent.
“The historical location Loch Bheathrach is not important enough to protect. Therefore, we are able to register this name.”

Konstantia Gold Falcon

For Lycurgus, by Master Andrixos

A noble man of passions strong,
From freshest bloom of youth.
He made his path, oft right, oft wrong,
But spoke unwatered truth.

Chorus: He drank of life much more than most,
And savored ’til the end
So lift your glass and say a toast
To Duke, to Knight, to Friend.

Two neighbor realms this man did share,
Outlands and Calontir.
The Stag amd Falcon’s heart laid bare.
Each kingdom sheds sad tears.

He is now free from struggles all,
From pain, from toil, from strife.
Though he did fight the Reaper’s Call,
Too large he was for life.

For each man Death shall call his name,
When comes the end of time.
But ‘ere I live I’ll sing his fame
‘Til I find for orange a rhyme.

Lycurgus Final Days

His Grace Lycurgus at 12th night 2006

For those of us who know His Grace Lycurgus, also known as Loke, this sad news from his lady wife:

I’m sorry to have to say that after everything we’ve done in the last two days that unfortunately Lokes heart has been too damaged to go thru with a transplant surgery. As of this moment all the medication and breathing support is being with drawn. He will be given meds to make him comfortable until he passes.

Her Grace Sile adds:

Send your swiftest and strongest falcons to support our 69th Huscarl,
one of my own, on this last battle

While kingdom colors are good, often We prefer to gives gifts with personal heraldry and colors, so that the items can be kept by the royals rather than going into regalia.

GoFundMe for Constanza and Conal

On December 1, while working on the roof of their home, Conal slipped and fell. He suffered a number of injuries, including four spinal fractures, crushed pelvis, wrist and chest injuries and more.  He has been transfered to different hospitals twice before coming to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he has undergone two surgeries so far, with more, and lost of rehabilitation work on the horizon.

A GoFundMe site for the family has been set up. (Conal and Constanza’s modern names are Tom and Karen Park)
